LeapFrog Alphabet Pal Caterpillar (Colors May Vary) Here’s a learning toy that offers kids a wonderful, interactive introduction to the world of letters, sounds, and colors. Alphabet Pal features several ways to play–pull the string and, antennae flashing, the jolly green caterpillar rolls happily along singing the alphabet song. When one of the caterpillar’s 26 multicolored alphabet legs is pressed, kids hear the name of that color, letter, or letter sound depending on which mode they choose. Best of all, Alphabet Pal is a parent’s friend, too–it’s not too loud and turns off by itself when idle. It comes with three demonstration batteries, which should be replaced with regular AA batteries. Made of durable plastic, the toy is 7 by 11.5 inches long. –Marianne Painter
Customer Review: Great learning toy
We purchased this as a Christmas gift for our then 1 yr old daughter. She really didn’t think much of it until after she turned two. Now that she’s older she is liking it more - of course some days more than others. It’s over all a cute idea, however, they could have picked a less grating voice.
Customer Review: Very creative and educational
Great toy so far. I have only owned this for 2 months. I am worried that the legs might not hold up and my other concern is that with all those legs it is a bit difficult to clean. The string is way too short for my son to pull the catepillar along. The only thing I do not like is that it only does short vowel sounds (no long vowel sounds), but I guess I am expecting a lot. We like to press letters consecutively to sound out words (i.e. go, mom, hi), but it was not really meant for that because it only does the short vowels. Other than a few complaints, the toy has lots of settings and is very fun and educational!

V Tech - V.Smile Soft Songs Baby Phone Customer Review: Not obnoxious, baby LOVES this phone
We got this phone for our baby to give her in place of our phone. We were afraid she would figure out how to call China.

She likes the lights and sounds and plays with it all of the time. Sounds are soft, don’t drive me and Dad crazy. HOORAY!

Highly recommend.
Customer Review: Fun toy for new baby
My son loves to press the different of this phone since it comes with music. It is with a perfect weight. I wish I could gave it N/A for education value since I was not expecting that from the phone so I enede up to give it just 1 star. I do not believe he learns anything from it yet being a companion. He had been playing this since he was 5 months old. Now he is 9+monhts is still loving it. Good investment for me as a parent.

Cranium Super Fort

Cranium Super Fort Customer Review: Great kid-initiated toy
We received the Cranium Super Fort as a Christmas gift for my 4 and 6 year old sons. Not only did they love it, but my 14 year old niece and her friend played with it for hours–and even got my “always cool” nineteen year old nephew to join in. What I love about the fort is that even my 4 year old can easily assemble it himself. We’ve gotten toys before that take so much effort on the parent’s part that they really don’t allow the kids to be creative. Not so the Super Fort. My kids work together to create any number of different combinations–then call me in to inspect and enjoy. Sometimes I have to ask if I can help, because it’s so much fun. The magnet connectors work great. I’ve never been able to ge the tarps to look as nice as they do in the pictures on the box, but I’m the only one who seems to care about that.
Customer Review: Satisfied
This is good imaginary play for my 4 year old grandson. He loves the fort, and spent a lot of time in it when we first put it up, he doesn’t grasp the idea of re working it to a different disign. But over all it is better than having to hang blankes over chairs to make him forts when he comes over.
