Jan cek: Moravian Folk Poetry in Songs Customer Review: Moravian songs, via Janacek, Godar, Bittova and Skampa
This is a unique recording of Janacek’s transcriptions of Moravian folk songs. Originally for piano and voice, they have been transcribed by Slovak composer Vladimir Godar for string quartet and (occasionally) three-voice male chorus. Here they are performed by renowned Czech singer and violinist Iva Bittova, accompanied by the Skampa Quartet and chorus. The effect is not so much of classical liede, but of authentic eastern European “popular” songs - the sonority of the string quartet adds to this in no small part. Janacek would be proud.

I honestly did not know what I was getting myself into when I bought this CD. I love Janacek, I love folk songs… how could I go wrong? Iva Bittova! I was concerned that she would have a 50yr old woobly voice, but instead what exists is a thin VERY nasal tone… perhaps she should be singing traditional Bulgarian music! The voice is expressive, just ugly.
The recording quality is not very good, either. On many of the tracks, Iva seems to be muffled and in the background of the recording.
Really - dont waste your time and money, unless you really would just like to have a recording of over 50 Janacek songs.

Customer Review: Fly fusion memory cartridge
this is exactly what i expected it to be, nothing fancy, just what it says. their are so many things that you can put onto your fly fusion pentop computer, that if you want a lot of stuff, it will not all download to the pen. the pen itself holds 64 MB of storage, and this additional memory cartridge also holds 64 MB of storage. so you are pretty much doubling your memory capacity. you dont replace the old one with this one, you just take off a little peice of the pen (on the top) and put this on it instead. the pen was actually designed to have this, so it wont be any heavier, any bigger, any longer, or anything. it will be exactly the same size since you are replacing a plastic peice of the pen, and replacing it with this. (so if you have a case, it will still fit perfectly!)

Customer Review: Read everything carefully before you buy
This is a very special and interesting product. However, if you buy this or I suppose any other item from Amazon, read every single word of the sale information very carefully. As has just been clarified by Amazon, when a product is sold out, especially if you use one-click, Amazon goes to the marketplace dealers to get the item. You may be thinking you are getting the item at the price stated in the description, when in fact you may pay much, much more. I ended up paying $54. for this 7.99 item because I didn’t read the final statement of cost and cancel the order. I assumed my order was strictly through the Amazon description for 7.99. I was never prompted to consider the market dealers under new and used. It was done for me, and the choice made for me. Probably, if I had not trusted my years of previous experience and had read every shred, I would have known this. Just be careful. It seems more like a web site glitch than malice, but annoying.
Customer Review: Notebook Mispriced?
I don’t know if it is the retailers fault for taking advantage of a shortage, but these notebooks should be less than $10US each. Not $35 each. Check the LeapFrog website, folks.
