Customer Review: Overall, Pretty nice
This pen would receive a 4 star on how fun it is because:
1. It is alot of fun. Most of the games I’ve played have been well suited to the (my) 11-13 crowd. The’re challenging for sure, but not tear out your hair difficult. One problem I had was with the personality quiz application. No where on Flyworld does it say you have to go to support to actually find the quizes, the fly pen doesn’t read the q’s to you.
2. There really wern’t any mindless games. They all made you think about what you were doing, which is good and bad. The keyboard and drums are really fun too.
This pen gets a four star review for educational value because:
1. It has alot of great applications for math, science, history and writing. It also helps you with test prep, but you do have to get the questions from flyworld.com
2. The writing application is great because it has spell check and essay coach, which helps you brain storm, outline and write.
3. The basic math and spanish that are included on the pen work ok if you don’t want anything too complicated. The spanish won’t do verbs or look up anything other than basic spanish but the math is pretty good at doing basic algebra.
4. Writing can be a tad difficult but you adjust to it fast. You cannot rewrite anything or it will write it again in it’s memory. Spelling normaly comes out right, just be careful because it capitalizes things alot.
This pen gets a four star durability rating because I haven’t had any problems yet. I dropped from about two feet up and it was fine. To scratch the mirror you would have to stick something up in the pen.
This pen gets a four overall because glitches are minor and easily resolved and the games actually fun. I wouldn’t recomend this to anyone under ten because the games aren’t aimed towards that level. I got this for christmas and was able to play with it that day. I wasn’t able to download the computer application because of sight traffic but FLY offered four free downloads to compensate.
